This is an audio recording I made of the Spacewar! reunion that took place at the Smithsonian Museum of American History on Nov. 29, 2018. This was video recorded but to date has not been posted online yet by the Smithsonian Institute.

If you don’t want to listen to the recording itself, I shared this file some years ago with Spacewar! historian Norbert Landsteiner, who wrote an article about the event on his website. Attending the event were:
- Dan Edwards
- Martin Graetz
- Steven Piner
- Steve Russell
- Peter Samson
- Robert Saunders
- Wayne Wiitanen
- Moderator: Christopher Weaver (founder of Bethesda Softworks)
- also in attendance: Professor Jack Dennis (in supervision of TX-0 and PDP-1 related activities at MIT)

Essentially everyone involved in Spacewar!‘s creation but Alan Kotok, who passed away in 2006. It was a very fascinating event – how often do you get to see David Crane fanboy at other game developers? All of the main attendees of the event also recorded individual oral histories with the Smithsonian, a number of which *are* online, and I encourage you to check them out if you’re interested – they are linked above.
